Our Winter Skills course is based in the Glen Coe and Ben Nevis area. This is an ideal course for people who have done some hill walking and who want to learn the essential skills needed to enjoy winter walking. A number of classic Munros may be climbed during the course (depending on weather conditions). A good level of hill walking fitness is required.

Our Winter Walking course based in Scotland is a continuation of the Winter Skills course (above). This is aimed at those who have already gained the essential skills and simply want to enjoy walking in the winter hills and be self sufficient. Under our expert guidance, you will consolidate your experience without the need to move onto steeper climbing terrain.
A good level of fitness and confident use of the axe and crampons is required. We operate the course in the Glen Coe and Ben Nevis area of Scotland.
Please note: You should already have previous summer walking and/or scrambling experience. You will need your own crampons, boots and walking axe, plus the relevant clothing for winter conditions. We can help you source these items.
