I’m a keen climber myself, and have taught new climbers for a decade – but I still refer to Eddy as the expert. He is the most experienced, qualified and capable outdoor leader in the southern UK. More than that he knows how to have fun and his good humour is infectious. Every adventure with Eddy is guaranteed to be a top class experience and leave great memories that will have you coming back for more.

Eddy helped me arrange a surprise climbing weekend for my boyfriend and it was such a fantastic trip. He already had experience with climbing, and I was still a beginner so I wanted to ‘learn the ropes’ and gain more experience / confidence for when we climb together in future. We loved having a weekend outdoors amidst a year of lockdowns, and brushing up on new and existing skills whilst having a laugh too. Eddy tailored the course to both of our levels perfectly – helping us to refresh knowledge, learn new skills and have fun in a safe environment. We loved exploring the Dorset coastline and learning to abseil too. Eddy was really flexible over the course of the weekend, allowing us to get the best from our 2-day experience. Thanks again Eddy, look forward to another climbing weekend soon!

I got hooked on climbing ever since my first intro to rock with Eddy almost a year ago. This time I asked Eddy to help me with improving my rock climbing technique focusing on trad routes and then putting it into practice on some easier walls (bridging was a revelation!) and finished with a fantastic VS route (completed with a shaky hands and the biggest smile I could produce!). Some abseiling, few controlled falls and recap on gear placement and anchors boosted my confidence and keenness for climbing. Eddy was professional, has buckets of knowledge and communicating it clearly and precisely, he is also a fantastic company. I can’t recommend Eddy enough, it was a perfect day and will definitely come back for more coaching. Thank you so much, Eddy! Absolutely loved it!

I recently took the Inside to Outside Climbing Course with Eddie and it was a really fantastic day, totally tuned to exactly what we wanted to get out of our time with him. Eddie is a really excellent tutor, telling us enough to make us think about what we were doing, but not overwhelming is with information until we were ready for it. This was a great day out and I’m excited to be able to use my new skills out on the rock face with a new found confidence and then look forward to booking another session with Eddie when I’m ready to take it to the next level. I can thoroughly recommend Eddies courses, having done a few climbing sessions before with different companies this was by far and away the best session I’ve ever had. Cheers!

I cannot recommend Eddy highly enough! His tuition is so thorough yet always fun; he ensures that learning and growing as a climber is exciting more than scary. We always felt extremely safe with Eddy, and we came away being much safer and more confident climbers. Before the session, Eddy took the time to listen to what we wanted to focus on, and then crafted a full day entirely around this, with his own extra (really useful) bits that we didn’t know we needed, but now are grateful for. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Eddy to anyone looking to work on any aspect of their climbing, and I imagine he’s equally great value on any of the activities he offers, as he’s passionate for what he does. We came home with huge smiles on our faces, both for the great time we’d had with Eddy, and for the excitement of what we’d learned and can now practice on our own. I won’t be seeking climbing tuition anywhere else!

I took the Intro to Trad course with Eddy and it was excellent! I’m a bit of a nervous climber and Eddy was patient, professional and encouraging and I had an excellent time while learning about knots, gear types and placements, abseiling and belay building – in theory and practice. He managed the group brilliantly and was conscientious of the environment we were enjoying which was great to see. An all-round lovely person who is passionate about his work and extremely knowledgeable and experienced.
